January newsletter

Welcome back! It’s a chilly start to the new year, but MAL is rarin’ to go!
Upcoming classes:
January 20 – We will just meet for a “free paint” session. Bring your own project to work on
Feb 3, 10, & 17 Scratchboards with Carol Nesvik. See supply list in the right column!
March 3, 10, & 17 – Abstrtacts with Claire Smith. Supply list will come in the next newsletter.

Now that the new year has begun, it is DUES time again! We are asking everyone to pay their dues before March! Dues are $50 – family, $45 – individual, $35 – senior, and $25 students.

Meet the board
Elections were held in November. Your new president is Ted Stanley. Liz Farar will remain the vice president and Phyllis Razo will remain the treasurer. Suzanne LeBeau will be the corresponding secretary. Next time you see these fine folks, give them a hearty thank you for the time they spend keeping this gallery running!

If you haven’t been in the gallery in a while, you might not recognize it! We’ve painted the walls a light cream color. We will soon do phase 2 of the renovations in Feb or early March where we will add carpeted panels to the walls to give it a more professional look.
In other news: The Studio Art Tour was a lot of fun. We had a good run for our first time in the tour. The Christmas party was a hoot, as always. We shared great food and hand-made presents. Phyllis Razo will be our Linebaugh artist of the month for the month of February. Cannonsburgh will be having another yard sale in March, so save your stuff.
