LAST month's newsletter. I think I accidentally posted it to my OWN blog. lol

NEWS on the McKnight house:
If you haven’t heard the news, we will be moving into the McNight house (hopefully) by January. Mark is having discussions with Corey and Nate to finalize some plans.  We might not be able to do ALL the work this fall, but will do things as we are able on the upgrades to the house. Here’s the building if you haven’t seen it.

Greenway Arts Festival Thank you to everyone who helped with this event. Even though it rained heavily in the afternoon, we made about $125 for the booth.
Girl Scout Lock-in was a lot of fun, but hard work. Thank you to Gloria and Reba, who gave up Sat night (til 1 am!!) to help the girls paint banners. We had about 160 girls!
Artists of the month: Reba Hinkle will be our featured artist here at the gallery, and Gloria Arndt will be the Linebaugh Library artist of the month.
Boro Art Crawl is Oct 14 from 6-9. We will dress up, and some will do live painting. Bring goodies to share, please.
Wilson Bank Oktoberfest: We have entered these contests for years. They give cash for first place winners, and it is free to enter! Go here for instructions: https://www.wilsonbank.com/about-us/community/event/oktoberfest
NOMINATIONS: Mark and Norma will be on their second year of their terms. Phyllis is running again as treasurer and Reba is running as corresponding secretary. We still have an opening for recording secretary (taking and typing up the minutes.) If you would like to run, please let us know!

Important News: Parking: We will still be parking in the village until the end of the year, but will follow safety issues for fire trucks. Do not park on any sidewalk. Don’t park on the inner circle, so truck can get through. Don’t park past end of garden, so fire truck can get to the hydrant. THANKS!
