Artwork Exhibition, Policy, and Mission


*Please note the following policy for displaying art in any
Murfreesboro Art League sanctioned event or at the studio:


The Murfreesboro Art League is a family oriented organization promoting the arts
for all ages in Murfreesboro and Rutherford County. Any
artwork with profanity and/or profane references to deity,
humans, animals, obscene content, or any other reference
that offends the moral standards of the community as
determined by the executive board will be eliminated. The
decision of the board is final.

Regular Meetings
Generally, classes begin at 7:00 p.m. on the first, second, and third Mondays of each month (Please see Calendar for details and exceptions.) Classes are scheduled to end at 9:00 p.m.
*Member meetings are usually held each fourth Monday evening.  Join Us!

Fifth Monday Eatin' Meetin's begin at 7:00 p.m. Individuals bring finger foods or other refreshment as well as some artwork to share with the group. Upon request, fellow members offer friendly critiques and feedback on their fellows' work.


Background And Mission
The presence of a vibrant artistic community within a city is best testimony to the quality of that city's intellectual life. Founded by a local group of artist and chartered in 1966, the Murfreesboro Art League is a non-profit organization whose mission is to advance art education and appreciation and thus ensure a vibrant artistic environment in the Murfreesboro and Rutherford County community.


The Murfreesboro Art League fulfills its mission by:
1.     Providing art education and activities for adults and children through affordable classes and other community activities.
2.     Providing the community with opportunities to view, enjoy, and purchase works by local artists.
3.     Providing professional and amateur artist a meeting place to work together and exchange ideas.
4.     Providing the amateur artist an opportunity to learn from professional artists
5.     Assisting the professional artist in the promotion of their art .
