NOTE: The gallery opening to the public on Weekends beginning May 6, 2017 and also still open on Monday nights 7:00 to 9:00 pm . The gates will be opened for parking in the Cannonsburg Village on Monday nights.  Do not park on any sidewalk. Don’t park on the inner circle, so fire truck can get through. Don’t park past end of garden, so fire truck can get to the hydrant. Thanks!
>We have updated our member listing.  Bring dues to meeting if you are not receiving newsletter.
>Beginning on May 6th, the Gallery is open 10:00 am to 4:00 pm Saturday, and 1:00 to 4:00 pm Sunday.  Sign-up sheets available at Gallery events!!

>Arts Night at Hobgood Elementary School on April 20th was a lot of fun – lots of children stopped by for Suzanne’s Fridge magnets & name tags.  Reba and Norma had lots of children drawing and coloring.  Everyone looked at the art exhibit and talked to the artists.

> May 1st, 8th, & 15th – Abstract Assembly & mixed media by Suzanne LeBeau. Here is a listing of supplies for Suzanne's classes:  Acrylic paints; A few random brushes of various sizes; Paper Towels; 3 things to paint on (canvases, canvas paper, or watercolor paper); Mediums you like; Rubber gloves; Papers or small items to include (like collage) Rollers, brayers, trowels, etc -IF you have them - There are a variety of ways to apply the paint, including old credit cards, printing, & even finger painting.  May 22nd is business meeting.  All begin at 7:00 pm and end at 9:00 pm.  Come join us!
 >Rotunda Exhibition (Civic Center site downtown): Setup-May 1st from 2:00-4:00 pm.  Exhibit - May 2 - June 12th; Reception- June 9th, 6:00-9:00 pm. Take down - June 12th, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm (just have to drive in nail per Suzanne-carpet is the wall covering.)  Suzanne sent out an email to members for entry of up to 5 items ( suzanne.lebeau@att.net),  List artwork on Google Sheets link sent by Suzanne.  If you did not receive the email or can’t access, email Suzanne with the following:  Your name, name of paintings or artwork being submitted (up to 5), type of media with size framed, price if applicable, and a telephone number where you can be reached.  Also email Suzanne a little info about yourself along with 1-2 pictures of your best paintings/art to give to Jennifer at the City of Murfreesboro, who will select 2 to 3 total for mailings and invitations. This needs to be completed by this WEDNESDAY by noon.  Very important as the list is submitted to the City for printing mail outs.
>Crawl the Mall 2017 for Southeast Nashville Artists at old Hickory Hollow Mall-now the Global Mall:  Application Deadline - May 13th by 6:00 pm at Jerry's Artarama (Amanda Micheletto-Blouin at nashville@jerrysartarama.com or call 615-731-5901).  Exhibit-May 27th from 3:30 to 7:30 pm; Art drop-off is May 26th from 4:00-6:00 pm - Submission Fee-$20 up to 3 pieces of art - paid at Jerry's Artarama in Cash by deadline.  Prizes!
>Life Care Center at Hickory Woods Art exhibit at 4200 Murfreesboro Pike, Antioch, TNsetup-May 12th, take-down-May 19th, both @ 4:00 pm.  Bring up to 4 pieces of art.  Those who exhibit will be treated to lunch at a later date!  Contact person is Phyllis at prazo0503@aol.com
>Gayle Levee is offering a two-day Plein Air painting class on May 20th and 21st for $99.00.  Sign up on her web page at http://www.gaylelevee.com .
>Phyllis will be sending out information on the Smyrna Art Cooperation Art Crawl for whole month of June
>Dedication of Muriel wall for Smyrna Art on May 4th, 4-6:00 pm – contact Phyllis at prazo0503@aol.com
>4 people have volunteered for the Great American Race day on June 26th- 10:30 am to 3:00 pm as requested by Cannonsburg Village.
>Paint & demonstrate for camp at Oakland Mansion (see Mary Beth Neville) -June 7th-12th
>July 7 & 8, 2017 are the Uncle Dave Macon Days – anyone wishing to volunteer for the Gallery, please email your name to Mark Jackson- boomermcbride03@gmail.com  by May 15th- -only 20 people can sign up for this event.
>Linebaugh Library Artists for the month of May is Gloria, June is Ted, and July is Reba.
>Featured Artist at Gallery for April/May is Joe Cole, Photographer.
