Murfreesboro Art League
NOTE: The Murfreesboro Art Gallery is OPEN to the public on Saturdays, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and Sunday, 1:00 to 4:00 pm thru November (unless Cannonsburgh Historic Village closes for Weddings or special events), and open on Monday nights 7:00 to 9:00 pm. The gates will be open for parking in the Village on Monday nights 30 minutes prior to events. Do not park on any sidewalk. Do not park on the inner circle or past end of garden, so fire trucks can get through to hydrants.
>The Murfreesboro Art League business meeting was held on July 23, 2018.
>Classes for August, September, and October are shown in the Dates to Remember section below. August 6th classes are Dirty Pour classes with Dorothy Stevens & August 13th and 20th are Abstract Acrylic with Suzanne LeBeau. Supplies listing will be posted on our blogspot soon at murfreesboroartleague.blogspot.com.

>Tomorrow – Tuesday, July 24th, at 1:00 pm at Cannonsburgh, a meeting is scheduled with Shelia of Cannonsburgh Village. Bring any questions you can think of for our Plein Air Painting and Cowboy Gathering event in October. PLEASE COME!
>Art in the Park - Smyrna is Aug. 18th , 8:00 am until Noon – see https://www.facebook.com/groups/1627349397525055 and post a message that you are setting up. Bring whatever you need to set up!!! No admission fee.
>July 30th is our Eatin’ and Greetin’ meeting. Bring food and come enjoy the company of our artistic members. Everyone Welcome!!!
>August 4th is Wild Arts Day at Barfield Park Nature Center – Please contact them if you are interested in displaying your art or painting the day of the event.
>The Summer Art Camp 2018 for students is continuing through August 3rd. The deadline for the Advanced class (prior lessons) for July 30-Aug. 3rd is July 25th. The fee is $65 per week – register at the Murfreesboro Art League or contact firstname.lastname@example.org .
>R. Gregory Summers, plein air workshop is August 17-19 – see Facebook page for r. gregory summers artist.
>The Greenway Festival is September 15, 2018. The Murfreesboro Art League will try to purchase three booths in a row. Anyone wishing to exhibit will pay a $10.00 fee to participate. Contact email@example.com if interested or bring to the next meeting – July 30th.
>It was decided by members to have a memorial plaque prepared in remembrance of Clarise Nelson and other founders of the Murfreesboro Art League to display in front entry.
>Linebaugh Library Artist for the month of July is Kathleen Phillips, August is Joe Cole, September is Diane Marsella, October is Phyllis Razo, November and December are yet to be determined.
>Showcase Artist of the Month: July is Phyllis Razo, August is Bobbie Bittner, September is Reba Hinkle, October is Ted Stanley, and Nov/Dec is Norma Holden.
